Thomas Grossmann (born June 1, 1951 in Hamburg, West Germany) is a psychologist, psychotherapist and author. ==Education== Grossmann studied psychology and economics in Hamburg and now writes about LGBT topics. Grossmann is primarily known for his book titles ''Gay - so what?'' which was originally published by Rowohlt-Verlag in 1981. It was the first guide for gay people on Coming Out in Germany. It was so popular that a revised editions were published in 1991 and 1994. Followed in 1986 the book ''Or rather the other way. gay - and then?'' with which gays and lesbians in the then socially difficult situation in the Partnership and other issues should be supported. With the book ''A love like any other. Living with gay youths and deal'' Grossman wrote in 1984 the first german guide for parents of gay and lesbian youth. The problems of gay and lesbian adolescents are openly discussed and explained.
